A pioneering UK leader associated with some of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure projects, specialising working with the Energy & Decommissioning, Defence, and Transport sectors is looking for Quantity Surveyors for projects across the UK. In this role, you will manage all contractual and financial aspects of construction projects, with a focus on mechanical installations. The client would welcome applications from those both at the beginnng of their career or those with more experience. They currently have a number of high profile programmes they are engaged with and would love to build thier teams.
Key Responsibilities
Administer contracts, including NEC and JCT forms
Oversee financial management of projects
Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Manage and produce/take off Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
Accurately understand and measure drawings
Complete monthly project reports and conduct client meetings
Monitor and mitigate budgets, programmes, and risk
Your experience:
ONC or HNC in Building Services, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying - you've got a solid technical foundation and hands-on knowledge.
Practical experience with mechanical installations - you understand how things work on-site, not just on paper.
Strong ability to measure drawings and produce accurate cost estimates that align perfectly with schedules and specifications
Proficiency in NEC or JCT contract administration - this is essential, and you know how to navigate the complexities confidently.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - you enjoy tackling challenges and finding smart, practical solutions.
Top-notch communication and negotiation skills - you can build great relationships and drive the best outcomes for all stakeholders.
Chartered membership with RICS or CIOB is desirable but not essential - we value your expertise whether you're chartered or working towards it.
