Be part of a business that saves lives.
Exceptional opportunity to work with a hands on and team focused group of individuals who are focused on providing the best value for their customers and stakeholders. I'm looking for a Directs Procurement manager, reporting to the Head of Procurement to develop a mature strategic procurement function. You will lead all Direct Procurement categories on a country level with a dedicated UK focus and, additionally, support Category Managers (locally and globally) in defining initiatives.
Whilst hybrid, (and you can be based anywhere across the UK) this role will require an outgoing and collegiate candidate who loves making frequent site visits in England, to encourage and foster collaboration and build strong relationships. This is an exciting opportunity, where as part of the newly formed global function you will be taking the team to the next step in their development therefore you will need to be highly visible and truly get 'under the skin' of the business and senior stakeholders who are experts in their field.
The client is happy to consider an indivdual who is looking for their next step to a Procurement team manager, having been a category lead, or an experienced individual who is looking for a new challenge in a growing, welcoming global organisation.
You must have the following experience to be considered:
- Experience in a direct category management role in a private sector organisation. Ideally sourcing medical/healthcare/lab equipment and managing key 3rd party negotiations.
- Experience of analysing complex data and developing objective recommendations.
- Experience of managing communications across multiple business functions
- Experience of conducting successful negotiations with complex tender models
- Ability to manage own workload autonomously
- Ability to anticipate risks and proactively identify value-add opportunities
- Well-developed negotiation skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Successful project leadership
Please reach out o me for further information. The client is looking to appoint asap.
