Introduction

An established financial services organisation is looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to take ownership of third party risk and supplier oversight. This role is critical to ensuring operational continuity and compliance with increasingly stringent regulations such as DORA and EBA outsourcing guidelines.

The position offers strong exposure across the business, working closely with Legal, Compliance and Procurement, and plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the organisation's third party risk framework.

The Role

As Vendor Manager, the role holder is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the third-party management and risk framework.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining third party risk and vendor management policies
• Performing risk assessments, due diligence and ongoing monitoring of suppliers
• Working closely with Legal, Compliance and Procurement stakeholders
• Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring contractual obligations and SLAs are met
• Producing reporting on supplier risk exposure and remediation actions
• Conducting periodic supplier reviews and driving continuous improvement
• Ensuring supplier relationships remain aligned with internal objectives and external regulatory requirements
• Acting as a key interface between the business and external vendors

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, risk aware and collaborative, with the ability to clearly communicate complex risk topics to a wide range of stakeholders.

Requirements include:

• Completed HBO or WO degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Risk Management or similar
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in vendor management, procurement or risk management, preferably within financial services
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as DORA, GDPR and EBA outsourcing guidelines
• Experience with risk tooling, contract management and procurement platforms
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
• Proven experience managing multiple suppliers and projects in parallel
• Fluent in Dutch and English
