Role: Utilities (Energy) Analyst

Location: St Albans / Hemel Hempstead

Hybrid Working: 2-3 days WFH

Salary: Competitive + 15% bonus

Excellent opportunity to join a leading £bn company with a fantastic work culture, that is rapidly expanding and has multiple sites across the UK as the Utilities/Energy Analyst. It's an exciting opportunity to manage data analytics on energy consumption, energy usage reports and broader analysis of energy usage. Significant progression opportunities to move into a Utilities Manager role, where you'd work towards leading utilities/energy for the entire company, reporting to the Head of Procurement. You'll sit in the central group, which spans the tens of sites and teams. You'll also progress towards site visits and running audits, where you'll make recommendations and work closely alongside an external consultancy that leads on hedging for the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on utility consumption, including benchmarking
  • Identify areas where utilities are wasted/used inefficiently
  • Report on the outcomes of utility reduction programmes
  • Develop targeted reports for key audiences
  • Quantify and report on carbon consumption
  • Provide and update utility budgets
  • Ensure SLAs and contractual obligations are met

You'll work towards:

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting related to utilities and carbon
  • Manage outsourced energy services provider
  • Support utilities procurement including hedging strategies

Requirements:

  • Some knowledge or interaction of utility/energy markets
  • Ideally, Power BI, Tableau or similar reporting experience
  • Numerical and analytical skills
  • Good communications skills
