Job Title : Third Party Risk Manager

Duration : 6 Months

Location : London (3days/week in the office)

Job Description:

Identify and manage risk asscoiated with use of Vendors and Suppliers; team was created in 2016
- Own regulatory driven programmes; the go to function in the bank to understand regulatory needs and translate into policies spanning 17 functions and 60 countries
- Ask questions in the Procurement process to understand associated 3rd party risks i.e. data protection / GDPR type stuff
- Happy to run end to end projects, with some BA support on certain aspects
- 40/50 local regulators expecting the Bank to do stuff....
- Huge amounts of consultancy type work (Martin is ex Accenture)....get shit done in large organisations!
- Stakeholders are the COO's who sit in front of the regulators and who have to explain why HSBC should keep their banking licence
- Potential 2 / 3 years of work given latest PRA regulations
- Also, potential for roles to go PERM longer term

Experience
- How to understand, execute and deliver 3rd party risk programmes in Global Bank's = ideal candidate programme
- Compromise = Risk and Banking experience OR Vendor Management / SRM experience and Banking Experience
- Great Stakeholder skills i.e. example is the ability to prep Australia COO for meeting with Australia regulators etc
- Template and Design Operating Models = KEY
- Challenge with ownership around 3rd parties internally - need to sit down with stakeholders and do due dilligence on this kind of stuff and present recomendations to COO's etc
