One of the world's largest and most recognisable financial institutions has an urgent requirement for an Interim Senior User Experience Researcher.

This is an interim contract offering up to £600-£700 p/d inside IR35. Client based in London with mostly home working.

We are looking for a (UXR) to join our fast-growing team to work on a wide range of market-leading Insurtech products. You will join us at an exciting time as we evolve our portfolio from desktop/on-premise towards cloud/SaaS, upgrading existing products to new technologies and modern UX, as well as developing brand-new products.

As a Senior User Experience Researcher (UXR) You will play an integral part in helping build out a scalable UXR function. Its role will be to gather insights about client and user needs, behaviors, emotions and attitudes to inspire and inform the design of a range of enterprise B2B products. You will collaborate closely with the UX and scrum teams, product managers and stakeholders contributing to all stages of product development. You will conduct primary research to gather data to better understand the client and users' needs and goals and the problems you are trying to solve.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a senior research role
  • 10+ years' experience in a research role, preferably in Insurtech or data science
  • Strong experience in building out a UX Research capability
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and tools
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables
  • Solid experience in data analysis and synthesis
  • A self-starter with initiative, and the ability to work autonomously
  • The ability to explore and define research opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Experience with the agile software development lifecycle in a commercial/production environment
  • Understanding of how to work with modern, agile research techniques
  • Experience with user testing platforms such as Userlytics, UserZoom and UserTesting
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills
  • Strong presentation and verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards whilst being pragmatic and delivering at pace against ambitious deadlines
  • An appreciation of all other UX and product roles and their contribution to product development.
