Temporary Logistics Procurement Manager - £196pd

Currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Procurement professional to support the development and delivery of sourcing strategy for a market-leading, global FMCG client.

This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £196pd, with flexible working from home and in Glasgow.

The Role:

This role will support the successful development and delivery of sourcing strategies within the Ocean Freight category, to secure supply, drive value-add and identify and mitigate any risks. You will collaborate on sourcing, contracts, supplier and carrier negotiations, and monthly reporting.

You will provide meaningful insight and actionable suggestions from market and industry analysis, alongside building and maintaining a strong network of internal and external relationships.

Requirements:

- Previous Procurement Category Management experience

- Ideally, a background in International Freight and specific knowledge of the freight industry and suppliers would be incredibly advantageous.

- Confident with the dynamics of Logistics and Supply Chain, and familiar with e-auction tools.

- Comfortable engaging and influencing external suppliers and stakeholders up to a senior level, including C-suite.
