Temporary Logistics Buyer - £196pd

Currently recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Buyer to support the development and delivery of sourcing strategies for a market-leading, global FMCG client.

This is a 12-month contract, offering up to £196pd, with flexible working from home and in Glasgow.

The Role:

This role will support the Category Manager with successful development and delivery of sourcing strategies within the Ocean Freight category, to secure supply, drive value-add and identify and mitigate any risks. You will collaborate on sourcing, contracts, supplier and carrier negotiations, and monthly reporting.

You will provide meaningful insight and actionable suggestions from market and industry analysis, as well as building and maintaining a strong network of internal and external relationships.

Requirements:

- Previous, strong sourcing experience.

- Ideally, a background in International Freight.

- Familiar with the dynamics of Logistics and Supply Chain, and ability to use e-auction tools.

- Able to engage with external suppliers and stakeholders up to a senior level, including C-suite.
