A major UK airport has an urgent requirement for an Interim Head of HR Strategic Planning.
This is an interim contract offering up to £800 p/d inside IR35.
To manage simultaneous internal audit reviews to provide assurance to the Heathrow Executive and Audit Committees that the governance and internal control frameworks within Heathrow are well designed and operating effectively.
To provide support on ad-hoc projects and investigations, contributing risk and control expertise together with analytical and investigative skills and manage the team of four Senior Internal Auditors.
Annual audit planning: Develop the annual Internal Audit Plan, reviewing progress against the plan with Directors and Senior Managers during the year and propose adjustments, if required, in light of any delivery constraints or new emerging risks.
Audit management: Manage the delivery of internal audit assignments and other ad hoc projects to agreed time and quality standards. Develop a thorough understanding of the assignment subject matter and demonstrate depth of business knowledge throughout the course of reviews, demonstrating an ability to effectively balance competing priorities.
Audit Reporting: Draft clear and concise audit reports that include a clear line of sight between the issues raised and action plans. Provide pragmatic actions to address the root cause of any control issues identified. Ensure that audit opinions are balanced, fair and reflect an in-depth understanding of business challenges in the area under review. Draft and share lessons learnt with the Executive Committee following each audit review.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications - Educated to Degree level. Experience in an internal audit role is essential. Professional qualification (Internal Audit, IT Audit, Accounting).
