Temporary AWS Security Consultant £520

I'm currently recruiting a fantastic opportunity for an AWS Security Consultant to join a dynamic FTSE 100 market-leader, undergoing huge corporate change to completely reinvent themselves, with a massive drive on sustainability and long-term aims to become truly carbon neutral, moving away from traditional Oil and Gas production.

This role is an initial 6-month contract, offering up to £520 per day (inside IR35, through Umbrella), initially working entirely remotely, once restrictions ease, there will be a blended approach to working from home and in their offices in South-East England.

The Role:

This is a crucial role within the Digital Security Team - you will utilise and assess AWS technologies in order to provide security assurance for customers, working to develop new solutions within AWS, migrate the existing solutions and modify solutions as needed.

You will also act as a mentor for team members from various technical and non-technical disciplines, advising on AWS Security Risk and making them aware of any Risk and Compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role in AWS Security, with extensive experience of using and assessing AWS technologies.
• The ability to communicate at all levels of a global business and liaise with customers including Developers, Architects, Business Leads and Service Owners.
• Strong, demonstrable knowledge of AWS technologies.
• The ability to understand typical AWS architectural patterns and suggest alternatives. This will encompass EC2, S3, VPS, RDS, Serverless, IOT and Containers.
• My client does not require a developer, but you must be able to understand AWS development concepts and practices for AWS.
• The ability to assess technical risk for AWS architecture and communicate any potential business impacts.
• Strong Risk management and mitigation.
• The ability to engage with and train peers at various levels, spanning a range of disciplines, on AWS and Risk.
  
  
• Advantageous: CISSP, CISA, CRISC, AWS Associate Architecture
