Ideally office based in Southampton the core function of this role is to provide assistance and rigour to the procurement process supporting the governance and subcontract leadership team. Ensuring effective life cycle management acting as a critical point within the supply chain to achieve desired delivery objectives from single source suppliers operating within the Defence Industry.

• Extensive procurement experience across highly regulated industry and effective stakeholder management
• CIPS qualifications and working knowledge of strategic procurement and procurement best practice
• Experienced in the manufacturing or technology sectors, managing associated sub-contractors and suppliers in support of all strategic bids and project requirements
• Engineering Degree or similar desirable

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Buyer or Strategic Buyer to join a leading global manufacturing business operating within the Aerospace/Defence Industry. Single Source Supplier experience within Aerospace, Aviation or Automotive related industries is fundamental to the requirement. Knowledge of UK MoD DEFCONS and US FARS and DFARS and associated flow downs including ITAR and other related compliance and regulation is critical.
