Bring your commercial knowledge and expertise of negotiating with suppliers to secure strategic advantages across key commodities such as packaging and chemicals for this well established manufacturing powerhouse. Finding new suppliers and managing the performance of current suppliers the role will seek improved cost reduction, risk reduction, contractual quality, delivery performance and effectiveness for allocated commodities. The role will also require the implementation of procurement value creation methodologies.

Key Experience Areas:

This is a great opportunity for a strategic buyer with extensive procurement experience to join a growing team of highly skilled procurement professionals who operate in a very challenging and demanding industry. You will have direct spend responsibility of £30 Million over Direct Categories with a focus on Chemicals and Packaging.

You will have a track record of delivering contracts and implementing cost reductions across supply base when buying direct materials for manufacture. You will also be able to show knowledge and ability to plan implement and deliver procurement strategy across the wider business. Line management experience would also be an advantage as this is seen as a role for someone to develop into a key member of the senior management team.
