I'm partnering with a global industrial manufacturing group for a Strategic Buyer - IT & Services that is currently undertaking one of the most exciting procurement transformations in the region. With over 40 sites worldwide, the business is building a modern, data-driven, central procurement organisation and this is your chance to join right at the beginning. The role is based in Baden-Wurttembeg region with a couple of different sites in Goppingen or Villingendorf.

The new corporate purchasing setup only went live mid-year, meaning you won't be inheriting legacy processes… you'll be shaping them. If you're looking for a role where your impact is visible, valued, and genuinely career-accelerating, this is it. This isn't "daily operational buying." This is a strategic role at the heart of a growing corporate procurement team influencing spend, shaping category roadmaps, and helping build a world-class sourcing structure.

You'll operate as the regional owner for IT, professional services, and corporate categories driving change while partnering closely with senior stakeholders.

You will:

  • Lead regional sourcing initiatives across IT, HR, Finance, and wider service categories
  • Build and execute category strategies that deliver cost, quality, and innovation
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping define requirements and challenge the status quo
  • Develop supplier ecosystems that drive performance, sustainability, and long-term value
  • Support a global transformation, harmonising processes and embedding digital procurement tools

A commercially sharp, analytically strong procurement professional who enjoys working across both strategic and hands-on activity. Someone who can influence, collaborate, and bring structure to a growing function. Must be able to speak English & German.

Experience in IT, services, or generalist indirect procurement is highly valuable - as is the ability to engage stakeholders across functions.

  • A high-visibility role in a central corporate procurement team
  • The opportunity to shape processes, not just follow them
  • Real ownership and autonomy across regional categories
  • A chance to grow as the organisation continues to scale its procurement capability

If you want a role where you can truly leave a mark and be part of a modern, forward-thinking purchasing transformation this is one worth exploring.
