Strategic Buyer Indirect

Location: Munich Area

Our client is a leading German technology and electronics specialist, delivering high-quality systems and components for industrial applications across sectors such as energy, automation, aerospace, and medical technology and are now recruiting a strategic buyer to strengthen their indirect procurement team.

With strong engineering expertise and in-house production, the company combines development and manufacturing to provide both tailored solutions and advanced technology modules, building long-term partnerships with demanding customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Independently manage sourcing activities for technical indirect categories including:

    • Capital expenditure projects (machinery, production equipment)

    • Technical services

    • Operating supplies and auxiliary materials

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to clarify specifications and technical requirements

  • Select, evaluate and develop suppliers

  • Negotiate offers, contracts and framework agreements

  • Drive supplier consolidation and bundling initiatives

  • Develop and implement category strategies

  • Actively contribute to the optimisation and digitalisation of procurement processes

  • Balance strategic responsibilities with an appropriate operational component

Your Profile

  • Technical or commercial education (e.g. electronics technician, industrial clerk) or degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar

  • Experience in technical or indirect procurement including price and contract negotiations

  • Strong ERP knowledge (SAP preferred) and interest in digital procurement tools

  • Confident communication style with the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders and external suppliers

  • Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
