Role: Senior Vice President - Procurement
Location: New York City
Salary: Up to c. $250k + package
This is a unique opportunity to spearhead global procurement for a complex Fortune 500 company as they embark on a significant global transformation journey.
Supported by an experienced and motivated Senior Leadership Team, you will take ownership of a global spend portfolio exceeding $4 billion.
With a remit to centralise, transform and upskill a large complex function, you will be comfortable negotiating significant transformations alongside meeting challenging savings targets.
Role:
- You will own the global procurement strategy across multiple direct and indirect categories globally, encompassing a total spend portfolio exceeding $4 billion.
- As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enacting the global procurement strategy with a specific emphasis on centralisation, market cohesion and global compliance.
- You will integrate closely with the global sustainability team, driving innovation through a robust SRM and procurement strategy that puts sustainability at the heart of all procurement activities.
- You will develop the business case for internal and external change, using your influencing skills to overcome resistance and totally transform the way the organisation procures.
- This role is chiefly based in New York City and has a truly global remit. As such, regular national and international travel will be required.
Experience:
- You will have a wealth of knowledge across all aspects of the end-to-end procurement cycle, with experience in a wide range of direct and indirect categories on a global scale.
- You will demonstrate continuous development alongside experience gained in a complex, multi-faceted global organisation within which you have excelled at delivering ambitious savings targets alongside complex transformation initiatives.
- You will be highly experienced in engaging, consulting, and influencing stakeholders across all aspects of the organisation both internally and externally.
- You will be a proactive and truly engaging leader, with the ability to develop business cases and truly sell change across the organisation.
- You will have prior experience developing internal talent with a huge focus and dedication toward internal continuous improvement.
- Relevant academic qualifications I.E. Masters, CIPS/ISM etc.
