One of the worlds leading aerospace and defence firms is recruiting for a Senior Subcontract Manager as part of a broad programme of growth planned over the next 5 years.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus package

Location: Kent (Rochester) 3-4 days onsite expected flexible hours

This role is focused on the management of a major subcontract for cutting edge military technology with significant spend and a high degree of complexity with over 600 individual components. You will need to manage suppliers' performance and liaise as the point of contact between internal and vendor stakeholder.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience of procurement within a related industry such as Defence, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Automotive.
  • Experience of subcontract management
  • Prior experience in leading negotiations and Supplier Relationship Management
  • MCIPS Qualified or Equivalent experience desirable
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle desirable

The Procurement Team:

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, the Buyer/Senior Buyer is responsible for the management of the material and suppliers for a business area and product line. You will work alongside and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal project teams and functions to ensure that the requirements of the business area are satisfied.
