Our global client, a key player in the automotive sector, is undergoing an exciting transformation and creating a centralised procurement organisation and we're looking for a talented individual to join their team as a Senior Purchasing Manager for Fasteners. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of a world-class global category management function.

Our client is a leader in the automotive industry, committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. As part of a strategic initiative, they are building a global category management function to optimize their supply chain and procurement processes.

As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating, shaping and implementing category strategies for key direct categories being Fasteners. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving impactful change. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a global transformation within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, develop and execute global category strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Drive cost optimization, innovation, and sustainability within the supply chain
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and market trends
  • Lead supplier negotiations and establish long-term partnerships
  • Contribute to the development of a best-in-class global category management function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven experience in category management within the automotive industry
  • Strong knowledge of direct categories especially fasteners
  • Demonstrated success in driving change and implementing strategic initiatives
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
