Senior Procurement Officer - up to £47,500 - Environment, Corporate & Property

Senior Procurement Officer required to lead strategic procurement within Environment, Corporate & Property spend areas for a local authority in Bedfordshire.

You will be;

• Developing and delivering tender exercises for high value/risk procurement projects
• Developing and delivering strategies within Environment, Corporate & Property categories
• Providing procurement expertise for directorates in terms of regulatory and commercial guidance
• Building excellent relationships with stakeholder communities to better understand capacity and capability
• Undertaking robust strategic contract management

To be considered, you must have;

• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of working in the Public Sector at a Senior level in relation to contracting, procurement and commissioning
• Proven track record of commercial creativity
• Demonstrate ability to manage commercial negotiations
• Able to analyse, interpret, resolve and communicate complex business problems with a proven track record of improving commissioning outcomes
