A leading educational establishment on the south coast is looking for a Senior Procurement Consultant to spearhead the strategic delivery of a multi-year portfolio of major investment projects.

The organisation is embarking on an exciting period of strategic investment though a series of capital projects, predominantly focused on IT and Estates, which will see £250m spent on improvements to buildings and services over the next 5 years.

This is a brand-new position within a recently restructured, expanding Procurement function, created specifically to lead on Procurement activity associated with the investment roadmaps and achieve transformative outputs.

Unlike many public sector entities, the company is not bound by process or wedded to the Public Contracts Regulations. As a result, the Procurement team are commercially minded go-getters rather than paper pushers, driven by results instead of ticking boxes. The culture is output focused and autonomous, yet supportive.

In addition to a competitive salary, the company offers an enviable pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and a raft of fringe benefits including hybrid working.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years' end to end strategic Procurement experience across a range of Indirect categories, ideally including IT (hardware, SaaS, managed service solutions, networks) and/or Estates & Facilities (building works/renovations, specialist professional services, fit-out, long-term maintenance).
  • Proficient at leading tenders, competitive negotiations, supplier and stakeholder management at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of the Public Contracts Regulations (desirable).
