You are a mission driven ESG and Sustainability professional who will directly support the Head of Sustainability in leading the development and delivery of UK's Sustainability vision and strategy, integrating it the business strategy and priorities, and building capability to embed it across the business.

Role: Senior ESG and Sustainability Manager

Location: Hybrid (1 day in Milton Keynes required)

Salary: up to £110K + car allowance and attractive benefits

About you:

You will have broad knowledge of Sustainability and ESG theory, frameworks, and tools and how to leverage their potential to deliver successful strategies for the organisation. In- depth expertise on responsible and ethical business models, implementation of global sustainability frameworks. This includes experience in driving Sustainability in complex organisations, advising senior stakeholders on sustainability strategy and execution.

You will have broad understanding of material ESG issues and ability to designs plans to respond in Financial Services industry.

About the job

  • Lead the development and delivery of Sustainability long-term vision and strategy, integrating them in all business divisions.
  • Support the Head of Sustainability with briefings and documentation for senior leadership on Sustainability macro trends, strategy, and execution, ensuring we run our business more sustainably and responsibly, maximising ROI and responding to the expectations of investors, regulators, customers, and civil society.
  • Coordinate the development of the financial inclusion vision, ambition and strategy building capability and working closely with Risk, Retail, CCB, Consumer Finance, CIB, Comms, Regulatory, Group and relevant external bodies to enhance the opportunities within this agenda.
  • Lead the development of wide sustainability metrics and targets and represent the UK and work closely with the Group, supporting the UK CEO and ExCo members on the Group Responsible and Sustainability agenda, providing advice and insight to help shape Group strategy and plans.
  • Support in the coordination of the sustainability team in maintaining close relationships with third parties and partners.
  • Lead a cross functional team of Business Partners, embedding and building sustainability capability in all divisions to enable the business to deliver on the strategic ambition and targets and to respond to stakeholders' expectations.
