I am currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing retail design company who are in search of a senior buyer to join their expanding team.

The Role

Working closely with in-house Design and Production staff and suppliers, you will provide bespoke buying solutions based on based on seasonal project briefs, visual packs and technical drawings.

The visual merchandising projects you will source, produce and deliver are as diverse as they are creative. Each requires the development of a unique buying strategy using supply market analysis, negotiation and collaboration with the Supply Chain.

Specific industry knowledge in retail fit-out / FF&E is essential in order to hit the ground running.

Occasional international travel to China and Europe (1-2 times per year) is required in this role.

Key Matching Criteria

• Relevant background buying goods & services relating to retail shopfitting / manufacturing / production (essential)
• Self-motivated, resilient and capable of delivering to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment
• First rate interpersonal, communication, and supplier management skills
