Role: Senior Buyer

Salary: Up to £50k-£55k + Excellent Benefits

Location: Derby (Hybrid)

Our client is the largest airport group in the UK which operates in Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands.

If you're a driven and ambitious Procurement professional, demonstrating experience in supplier and spend management, we would like to hear from you! You will assist in delivering through market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and end-to-end tender processes. You'll drive value and cost savings, managing supplier relationships and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
* Develop a strong relationship with all suppliers and ensure relationship is strong.
* Obtain quotes for components from multiple suppliers to determine if the business is receiving the best possible price.
* Solicit bids, analyse quotes, and recommend to Management who is the best overall vendor.
* Co-ordinate with various departments to ensure their purchase requirements are added to the database.
* Conduct procurement activity to deadlines provided.
* Co-ordinate with the various departments to collate purchasing spend to ensure the business benefits from potential financial savings.
* Ensure prior to purchase that all parts meet quality requirements.
* Obtain warranty return approvals and liaise with internal departments on rejected units.
* Monitor improvement measures with non-performing suppliers.
* Expedite and monitor materials shipments from freight forwarders and suppliers to ensure prompt delivery.
* Develop positive and strong supplier, customer, and internal relationships, seek to improve working methods and communications.
