Location: New York City - hybrid working (4 days office, 1 day home)

Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 + benefits package

Are you a procurement systems guru with an appetite to join a rapidly scaling businesses greenfield procurement team?

If so, this is an exciting new opportunity to define and develop the systems infrastructure of one of the world's most unique hospitality businesses as they continue their expansion across North America.

With a mature and experienced European procurement team, you will help to replicate the success of their organisation in North America. Using the European team's infrastructure as a framework, you will help to configure, manage, and adapt the system to meet business needs in this region.

Joining the business during an exciting period for their North American growth, this role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and expanding business environment, with the unique benefits of rapid progression and senior exposure attached. It is planned that you will hire a procurement systems specialist/administrator to support you within the role once you have been in the position for c. 6 months.

Role:

You will have complete ownership of the Procurement Systems Infrastructure across all their sites in North America. This portfolio encompasses over 20 venues spread across New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Illinois, Tennessee, Ontario and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the procurement systems, including ensuring that all new and existing suppliers and products are compliant. You will support staff members to onboard new supplier and product portfolios and conduct regular coaching and training on effective systems usage across the business.

You will develop, implement, and manage systems reporting capabilities in conjunction with the Head of Procurement and the North American senior leadership team. You will also support the analysis of key system data, working closely with operational site teams and purchasing managers to proactively manage their site procurement.

Strategically, you will continually develop and reconfigure their system to ensure it meets the bespoke needs of their business. You will work closely with the European procurement team to replicate best practices, adapting the system and process in any areas necessary to account for regional differences. You will develop your expertise as an internal procurement systems expert, acting as a key consultant on systems improvement, new implementations/plug-ins and new site training and implementation as the business continues to scale.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement for North America and working closely with the Global Procurement Director, this role is based out of their North American headquarters in New York City 4 days per week, with the remaining day worked remotely. Semi-regular travel across the region will be required.

Experience:

You will be an adaptable procurement systems expert, comfortable leading in-person and remote training as well as developing and configuring reporting capabilities. Specific system experience isn't required, though the broader the knowledge base, the better.

You will be naturally analytical, data-savvy, and numerate. You will be comfortable analysing and interpreting large data sets and be an advanced user of excel.

Ideally, you will have previously worked in a food service or similar hospitality environment, with an understanding and appreciation of the regulatory and compliance aspects of the business. Experience in other regulated businesses will also be considered and is not mandatory.

You will be comfortable working with the full spectrum of a hospitality business, from front-end operational staff to senior leadership. It is critical that you have a commercial appreciation for how procurement systems affect the entire business.

Relevant Degree/Masters + CIPS or equivalent is ideal.
