A renowned global manufacturing organisation is looking to add a Procurement Specialist to their friendly, established team.

The role is tailor made for an ambitious, dynamic Procurement professional with a background in Manufacturing, Construction or related Industrial sectors, plus knowledge of strategic sourcing of Direct categories such as Site Equipment, Plant, Parts and Construction Professional Services.

The company is willing to consider relatively junior candidates who they can develop as well as more accomplished applicants, provided the individual can demonstrate the drive and resilience required to thrive and progress within a pressured, challenging environment.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' Procurement / Purchasing / Buying / Sourcing experience, gained within a large corporate Manufacturing, Engineering or Construction firm (related industries will also be considered).
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing for Direct categories e.g. Site Equipment, Plant, Parts and Construction Professional Services, plus an understanding of commercial T's & C's and a strong track record of contract negotiations.
  • Comfortable working in a pressured, dynamic environment.
  • Strong academic profile - as a minimum, a Batchelor's degree in Business or Procurement & Supply Chain. Higher qualifications and relevant accreditations such as MCIPS are desirable.
