Procurement/Vendor Manager - London Based
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Major Global Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Client who are expanding their remit and are seeking an experienced Procurement/Vendor Manager with strong experience of P2P systems and category management.
Key responsibilities:
As a global business you will play a leading role in delivering the supply chain programme within one of their clinics in the UK
You will take responsibility for implementing best practice principles across the site that creates and delivers value to the Organization.
This is a great opportunity to lead the development and implementation of the operational purchasing and customer service strategy and you will act as a direct deputy to the Materials manager.
Liaise closely with the sourcing team to ensure full utilisation of the e-catalogue
Manage and drive tender management
Evaluate financial and purchasing data.
Lead the function with the focus on delivering a high level of customer service, building productive relations with vendors to maintain a high level of product and service availability.
Raise the profile of the Purchasing department and promote the benefits of effective and best procurement practice by influencing senior managers and clinicians to embrace the various procurement systems, tools and business processes available to the Organisation.
Play a leading role in supporting the design of systems, procedures and processes
Play a leading role in implementing the supply chain operating model
Person specification:
Ideally degree educated or equivalent
Experience of managing or mentoring in previous roles
Strong experience of Vendor management in previous roles
Experience of P2P procedures
Ideally experienced in working in a Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Organisation previously (but other sectors will be considered)
Strong experience in implementing processes and procedures
Excellent ability in managing a diverse range and level of stakeholders.
