Job: Procurement Project Sourcing Specialist - Indirects Corporate Services

Salary: £40K + Benefits

Location: Hybrid working with travel to site [Guildford]

This is a great opportunity to join a forward thinking and progressive company who put Procurement at the forefront of their commercial expansion plans.

Core Function:

Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of Indirect shared Category spend to the value of £70 Million.

Indirect Procurment experience across: HR, Training Development, Finance, Legal, Recruitment, Freight Fleet, Travel and Consultancy would be an advantage.

You will work alongside another new starter who has similar experience and be lead by a strong experienced technical procurement specialist who will help you develop into a fully fledged Category Manager. You will be required to acquire and and maintain understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends and supplier technology road maps. Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to organisation policy and discusses defects and delivery problems with suppliers and negotiates refunds.

They operate within the defence industry but experience from other industry is welcome as long as you can show a good understanding and blend of Purchasing, Buying, Supply Chain and Procurement experience.
