Role: Procurement Operations Manager (12 Month FTC)

Salary: Up to £65K + Excellent Benefits Package

Location: Central London (3 Days p/w in the office)

1st Executive have been tasked with recruiting a newly created Procurement Operations Manager role. As a newly created role the jobholder will be responsible for supporting the implementation of robust governance and processes for Procurement across the organisation. This role is also responsible for evolving best practices and transforming the organisation from one that is often still locally driven, to one that is led by a Procurement centre of excellence.

Role:

This role has an integral part to play in creating a global Procurement centre of expertise tasked with ensuring a focused and professional approach to all sourcing activities with the objective of delivering maximum value and ensuring that we meet all risk and regulatory requirements.

  • Delivery of effective governance & process projects and identifying opportunities for process improvement
  • Supporting on delivery of governance framework to align with PRA and FCA, internally and externally, including all Procurement policies and the Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Provide expert, authoritative advice to key stakeholders on all aspects of procurement governance, policy and process
  • Delivering of Procurement Training to the business and internal procurement staff and maintaining and updating associated materials
  • Inputting into and driving a culture of best practice within Procurement, including active communications, process improvement, interpretation of policy standards, guidance and training
  • Production of regular management information for senior management and risk committees
  • Continuing to work collaboratively with Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Financial Crime and Operations to implement procurement initiatives and ensure the governance framework is fit for purpose
  • Support on all compliance and internal audit exercises on behalf of Procurement to ensure actions are completed within timelines
  • Attend and minute and manage the quarterly Supplier Risk Group meetings
  • Assist the Governance and Process Manager and Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) with the continued development of a best in class global strategic procurement function with the long-term vision to deliver an effective and sustainable approach to all third-party sourcing and supplier management, while achieving maximum value, minimising risk and driving efficiency's to invest in the future

Experience:

  • Knowledge of procurement best practice and the Financial Services regulatory landscape (PRA and FCA reg's)
  • Experience of governance and procurement processes
  • Experience in vendor risk management
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to drive change
  • Management of third parties and internal stakeholders
  • Ideally Degree qualified
