Role: Procurement Operations Manager - North America - always use full title
Location: Atlanta, Georgia - over 50% home office
Salary: $Competitive + 40% bonus & package

Exciting new Procurement Operations role for a FTSE 100 manufacturing business going through a global supply chain transformation - which you'll help shape.

This role offers the perfect opportunity for the right candidate to advance their career and step up into a pivotal leadership position offering significant senior exposure across various functions of the business. You will work in close partnership with the global SLT to consistently raise the profile of procurement, focusing on raw material categories, and embedding best practices and procurement excellence across all categories of spend.

You will play a key role both in the growing procurement operations department and potentially build a team underneath yourself over the coming months. This is a broad and multifaceted role and you will drive procurement strategies, processes, KPIs and liaise closely with manufacturing and operations across North America. You will be the SME for a range of raw materials, so experience of procuring direct materials is highly desireable.

You will be the primary point of contact at a country level for manufacturing management and proactively engage senior stakeholders globally across the business, overcoming resistance to continuously improve procurement activities.

It is essential that you have:

  • At least 4-5 years of relevant end-to-end strategic procurement experience, including SRM
  • Experience procuring directs, ideally covering raw materials/commodities
  • A natural ability to influence and negotiate with varied senior stakeholders.

If this sounds like you, then please drop me a note. This is a client whom we have worked closely with for several years and who is building a world-class procurement function. They are eager to recruit the right person quickly so please send me your CV to geoff.hunt@1st-executive.com
