Overview of the Role
We're seeking a motivated and adaptable Commercial & Procurement Officer / Administrator to join our Governance, Legal and Commercial team. This role offers exposure across procurement, contracts, and compliance, and is suited to someone who thrives in a varied environment and enjoys collaborating across departments.
You'll play a key part in maintaining the flow of purchasing, supplier coordination, and document management to support the company's commercial operations. This position offers excellent development potential and the opportunity to work within a company at the intersection of private industry and public sector collaboration.
Core Responsibilities
Process purchasing requirements for consumables and spare parts, ensuring records are accurate within D365
Provide administrative support across procurement functions, including managing post, processing purchase orders and invoices, and assisting in departmental initiatives
Maintain and update procurement templates, records, and training materials
Manage departmental inbox and respond to procurement-related queries
Coordinate supplier onboarding processes and track contract renewals under threshold limits
Ensure governance records such as insurance certificates and policy documents are kept current
Support meeting preparation by taking notes and monitoring follow-up actions for both stakeholder and supplier sessions
Assist with sustainability initiatives including data collection and contributions to annual reporting
Collaborate with the Legal Assistant to help address any issues relating to supplier agreements
Monitor the company's procurement workflow tool (PAWS) to ensure efficiency and adherence to process

Experience:
Proven background in procurement or purchasing support
Comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple responsibilities
Experience working with or supporting public sector procurement is advantageous
