Role: Procurement Market Intelligence Analyst

Salary: €45-55k + bonus + package

Location: Amsterdam or Dublin

Flexible Working: 2-3 days' work from home

If you're a talented and experienced market intelligence analyst with 1-3 years of experience and based in either Amsterdam or Dublin, this could be the role for you. As an MI analyst in part of the central team, you'll work with different procurement teams in Europe and Asia, as well as teams in different regional categories, to coordinate the delivery of analytical reports, i.e., various trackers, indexes, data analysis, and cost driver models. This position reports directly to the Head of Procurement Excellence Europe & Asia and the Head of eSourcing and Market Intelligence.

You'll work with local procurement organizations to enable harmonized standards for the group to enable efficiency, effective management, and optimisation and improvement of company-wide processes. You'll contribute to the implementation of the procurement process. You'll also build and maintain relationships with other procurement functions, provide data-driven insights that enable better decision making, and make all procurement levels transparent, efficient and effective. This market intelligence team acts as a business partner for the strategic sourcing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of a regional team of 8 members, you will be responsible for a number of evolving tasks including:

  • Coordinate the delivery of:
    • Various trackers and indices
    • Data analysis in collaboration with 3rd party service providers
    • Cost driver modelling (e.g., should cost models, forecasting, price trends)
  • Scan the market for suitable/alternative suppliers
  • Work in close cooperation with various stakeholders in the regional category and operational teams
  • Support the regional category- and operational teams by setting up and evaluating category strategies
  • Contribute to the further development and maintenance of the Market Intelligence 3rd party subscriptions to data providers as required
  • Provide commentary around geopolitical situations impacting various spend categories
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to deliver added value through the before-mentioned analytical reports across the Procurement domain

Requirements:

  • Your professional experience should ideally include 1-3 yrs. demonstrable experience in procurement
  • You'll also possess proven exposure and involvement with international transformational projects
  • Fluent written and verbal English is a must and other languages (e.g., French, Polish) will be considered a plus
  • Key competencies required for this role include excellent analytic and problem-solving skills and being attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in MS Excel and the ability to travel across the region
