Procurement Manager - up to £48,000 per annum - Fantastic benefits

A Procurement Manager is required to work for a world leading, forward thinking University. They are innovative and cutting edge as well as one of Europe's most entrepreneurial universities who enable high quality research through a broad range of social, policy and economic impacts.

You will use category management and strategic relationship management techniques to make sure that the University leverages its full potential spend and achieves best value for money.

Responsibilities

To develop and implement procurement strategies

Identify key areas where strategies need formulating

Develop a robust category management approach to your specific sub category

Coordinate and communicate with internal customers ensuring "buy in"

Identify and select suppliers that support the objectives of your customers

Identify and report on value for money activities

Manage direct reports

Experience required

Educated to degree level and actively studying for CIPS

Proven procrument experience ideally with some FM, estates and property experience

Proven record of developing strategic plans for the sub category and evidence of successfully executing those plans

Able to demonstrate value for money

Proven ability to negotiate complex arrangements with suppliers

Able to influence at all levels
