Procurement Manager - £45k per annum with good benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a small but growing team of Procurement professionals. As the Procurement Manager you will be part of something bigger as the organisation grows and you will contribute to the Transformational change that will take place. The key function of this role is to identify and understand the business's requirements and apply a strategic sourcing process and develop excellent supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Some of the key responsibilities

* Responsible for developing and managing a broad range of complex category related activities and develop category plans and sourcing strategies

* To manage major supplier's performance against contracts and to be the recognised procurement expert in designated category areas

* Responsible for managing compliant procurement processes from specification development to award of contract ensuring appropriate and timely input from business stakeholders and managing all associated risks

* Develop procurement systems, electronic and other, to enhance and improve processes and to deliver useful management information that aids the category management process;

* Review and draft terms and conditions of contract and provide advice to others on appropriate forms of contract;

* Manage and direct the work of the Category Assistants to support delivery of category plans and associated objectives

To be successful in this role

* You must have experience in managing complex procurement in the public or private sector

* Good experience in stakeholder management
