Role: Category Manager - Maintenance and Production Services

Salary: €45-57k + bonus + package

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Flexible Working: 2-3 days' work from home

As a Category Manager for Maintenance and Production Services, this is a great opportunity to join a major manufacturing company in the field that is experiencing significant growth. Procurement is established though has huge potential for improvement, offering the successful candidate the chance to drive improvements and achieve results.

Manage the procurement of manufacturing assets across major companies and several additional operating companies. All of these are within the authority of this role, and there is an equal opportunity to improve central procurement, global roles, procurement expertise, and roles within the operating company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all category activities within a Cluster during the bid and project execution phase
  • Accounting for development, execution, and maintenance of Cluster procurement strategy and Project Procurement Plans in alignment with country stakeholders as well as global procurement strategies
  • Being responsible for procurement of KPI Performance Management and process adherence in the assigned scope
  • Ensuring execution of the S2P process (from screening to onboarding and lifecycle management) for local suppliers
  • Maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers
  • Analyzing supply market, anticipating changes, and driving associated procurement activities
  • Contracting and evaluating suppliers to facilitate final supplier base decisions with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring the purchase of products and services in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner, implementing and ensuring the best purchasing practices
  • Coordinating the implementation of the strategy of categories and suppliers


  • Experience in Procurement (5-8 years in the managing category would be an advantage)
  • Fluent written and verbal English is a must, other languages are considered a plus
  • Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Business acumen and project management skills
  • Leadership skills and decision-making ability
  • Negotiation and contracting skills, performing cost analysis
  • Commitment to achieving goals
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
