Procurement Manager - Indirects
Burton-on-Trent
Our client a Major Healthcare Services Organisation have a new role for a Procurement Manager covering Indirects categories, which will include: IT, FM and Fleet.
Reporting to the Procurement Director, you will assist in the development of the sourcing strategy and development of the function. This is a rapidly changing procurement function and therefore this is a great opportunity to not only develop your skills further but also to influence the procurement function direction.
Your key duties as an experienced Buyer will include:
Develop and deliver the strategic procurement of Indirect goods and services across a range of different categories, managing the delivery of cost and quality ensuring exceptional value for the
Ensure suppliers and solutions are commercially viable, liaising closely with suppliers to ensure added value and cost efficiency
Be the Indirect expert within the business delivering a first-class service for all internal stakeholders.
Drive good practice throughout the function including control, innovation and digitisation.
Provide valuable and efficient procurement management that delivers year on year cost reduction, value creation, allowing opportunity for growth.
Liaise and influence internal stakeholders gaining their trust and managing budgets accordingly
Person specification:
Proven experience in strategic sourcing
Experience of indirect procurement combined with motivation to progress and develop
Strong negotiation skills and a track record in managing supplier relationships
Proven experience in delivering and value creation within a complex environment is critical to your success in this role.
Previous experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical environment is beneficial but not essential
