Role: Sourcing Manager - Global Direct Sourcing

Location: Dublin, Hybrid working

Flexible Working: 3 days office, 2 days work from home

Salary: €50-80k (possibly some flex higher?) + bonus & package

Are you an ambitious Procurement Manager with experience managing a range of categories? Are you also looking for a role that will offer you significant exposure to Senior Stakeholders and the Global SLT? If so, this is an exciting role in a truly global industrial manufacturing/materials business with a turnover in the tens of billions.

This is an exciting opportunity to identify and develop new suppliers in Best Cost Countries (BCC) for direct category spend; particularly across Eastern Europe, Turkey and the Middle East to drive competitive pricing and partnerships globally. You will ensure compliance with the company's Ethical Procurement Code and manage individual sourcing projects as identified by the Global/Regional Category teams and operating companies in these countries.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Current Right to Work in Ireland
  • 4-5+ years of procurement experience, including procurement of directs/industrial materials

Products:

  • Understand the European/APAC customers, their needs and requirements
  • Collect market information and trends and identify Best Cost Country sourcing opportunities, which are aligned with overall category and business strategy & goals
  • Critically review these opportunities, considering all elements of supply (Total Cost of Ownership - manufacture, supply and after-sales service)
  • Working with the Category teams to influence change in the supply chain and drive out costs
  • Regularly review critical paths with the GDS/Category teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Respond to and follow up enquiries, issues and problems raised by buyers / customers

Suppliers:

  • Build and maintain a strong vendor network in BCC with particular focus on E Europe, Turkey and the Middle East to meet customers' needs
  • Monitor and manage the selection process for new vendors to ensure they match a specific client need or new business opportunity
  • Validate the GDS suppliers meet ethical and social compliance standards as well as technical and quality management competences
  • Constantly review and evaluate the performance of factories to ensure that they meet requirements
