Role: Procurement Manager - Fleet & Logistics
Salary: Up to £75K + Excellent Corporate Benefits
Location: Manchester (+ Hybrid Working)
Overview:
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to undertake a newly created, high profile, role within a rapidly expanding Procurement & Supplier Management team - who are playing key role in driving commercial value across a £1bn + spend base, aligned to the organisations 3-year transformation programme.
Role:
- You will lead the Vehicles sub-categories within the wider Fleet & Logistics category portfolio, with responsibility for spend and supplier management aligned with 7.5 tonne lorries, tractors and trailers .
- You will have the opportunity to develop a category strategy in what is a relatively disparate portfolio - offering a fantastic opportunity to drive value and ROI through supply base consolidation and value creation through in-life supplier management activity, which focuses on driving change and innovation .
- With a significant focus on Sustainability, Carbon and Net Zero across the organisation, this is a highly visible role given it's ability to impact our clients journey to achieving their goals in this space.
- This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about utilising real time data to drive intelligent decision making across the end-to-end Procurement & SRM lifecycle
Experience:
You will demonstrate a natural interest and passion for driving change and innovation, and value the opportunity to contribute to corporate Net Zero ambitions through the delivery of innovative solutions across the Fleet & Logistics category portfolio:
- You will demonstrate strong examples of driving change and innovation across complex, high value, category portfolio's
- Previous experience of Logistics or Fleet Procurement is not essential for success in this role
- You will be able to evidence experience in the development of category plans and supplier management strategy
- You will be naturally inquisitive with a tendency to get under the skin of things to identify opportunities to drive commercial value
- You will demonstrate experience gained in both pre and post contract Procurement & Supplier Management activities
