Role: Procurement Manager - Capital Projects/Hydrogen

Location: Shanghai, China

Salary: Competitive

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global brand with a focus on sustainable technology and energy production. This is the perfect role for a procurement manager who has experience working with chemicals (or similar commodities), is skilled at building and maintaining stakeholder relationships and has worked with manufacturing/processing plants and/or EPC contractors.

You will lead on a range of exciting projects, work with a range of stakeholders nationally and internationally and will be able to drive procurement in your own vision.

You will be responsible for:

  • Project Procurement across all Projects and relationships with EPC contractors
  • CAPEX equipment and commodities RFQ's
  • Own and lead the relationships with key suppliers
  • Lead and actively participate in commercial negotiations for all project purchasing
  • Expediting activities to ensure goods are delivered on time and on budget
  • Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business performance
  • Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results

You will ideally have:

  • 10+ years' experience, including experience within an O&G, chemicals, petrochemicals, energy, data centres or similar type of industry, purchasing high-value CAPEX equipment of all types
  • Experience working either with, or for large EPC contractors, ideally in an O&G/Chemicals/Energy type environment
  • Commercially astute, with demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects with often conflicting timelines
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English
