Excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding multi-£bn global manufacturing business that focuses strongly on sustainability and innovation as well as developing working practices, promoting a culture of internal training and development. They operate across Europe and the US and have recently grown through a significant acquisition in America.

In this role you will be responsible for all purchasing of indirect materials and services for 3 manufacturing sites within the Benelux region managing a team of three buyers within the region. The main focus will be to deliver value and manage risk in line with the group procurement objectives, developing the team, identifying new opportunities and establishing a more mature approach. Alongside this within the next 12 months our client will be implementing / rolling out SAP S/4 and you will play a key part in this project within the Benelux region.

• Ensuring the sites indirect materials and services are purchased effectively.
• Adopt and implement the preferred supply base and manage the Benelux purchasing needs
• Identification of process improvement opportunities and promoting procurement best practice in a complex, multi-site operation across EMEA.
• Liaising cross-functionally with the internal stakeholders
• Delivering best value purchasing: cost savings, quality, flexibility, governance and strategic vendor relationships.
• Be an integral part of the Procurement EMEA team working with stakeholders across the EMEA region to promote the function and develop standard processes and governance as well as driving cross site/country value creation initiatives.
• Developing and managing a team of 3 buyers.

Required Skills

• Relevant experience in procurement and people management, preferably within the manufacturing industry and across multi sites.
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills in Dutch and English are a MUST for this role
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Highly numerate and technically proficient with a keen eye for accuracy.
• Experience with typical engineering / MRO, CAPEX, FM and site services and preferably with the delivery of outsourcing projects.
• You have knowledge and experience of ERP systems with SAP, Ariba, R/3 MM of advantage.
