I am currently supporting a leading manufacturing company in Mainz, Germany. The company has +10,000 employees globally, with €2 billion in revenue. In this role you will be responsible across different commodities, and the team management of 6 Buyers directly

The ideal candidate for this role would have several years' experience purchasing globally and leadership experience is essential.

Responsibilities:

• You will take full responsibility for direct materials with the spend value of €120 million.
• Team management of 6 buyers directly, and report to global VP of Sourcing in the US
• You will be working internationally with over 100+ suppliers across Europe and Asia to manage all sourcing and procurement activities
• Create procurement strategies for your team to follow
• Conduct an analysis and create offer analysis reports and conduct supplier selection activities for the assigned categories
• Conduct supplier nomination activities and contract management

Your profile:

• Fluent English
• 5 years' professional experience in purchasing
• Team management & leadership experience
• Degree in Business or MBA is preferred
• Willingness to travel 20%
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
