Procurement Business Partner - £50k per annum - East Sussex
Fantastic opportunity to work in a Central Government organisation on a permanent basis.
The role is for a Procurement Business Partner to work closely with Senior Leadership acting as the primary point of contact for procurement. The right candidate will have some experience delivering best practice commercial services and solutions that support continuous improvement. You will lead on and implement improvement initiative and raising the teams profile as a whole.
Acting as the procurement primary point of contact, ensuring you are giving effective procurement support.
Develop new sustainable sourcing strategies that reflect business priorities
Identify, develop and implement new, alternative and innovative solutions on line with business change
Design, implement and ensure full assurance in respect of contract management and risk assessment handovers to the business - including ownership of any dispute resolution requirements
Full responsibility for negotiating complex requests and analysing the market and identifying opportunities to achieve value for money
Work with a high level of autonomy and guide and support the Procurement advisors
Accountable to budget holder and all stakeholders in achieving best value from the public purse by ensuring transparent and open competitions are run in line with EU and UK procurement legislation
Ensure compliant robust contracts are awarded with measurable deliverables
Will have strong commercial acumen
Be MCIPS qualified
Have knowledge of PCR and government legislation
Have Supplier relationship and contract management experience
