Are you an ambitious Procurement Analyst seeking an exciting and challenging role? Our client, a FTSE 100 market leader, seeks to recruit a Procurement Analyst to undertake a key role in their Global Procurement function.

Role profile:

We're currently recruiting for a well known tier 1 banking client in London as they go through transformation. Our client seeks to recruit a Procurement Analyst to undertake a key role in their Global Procurement function. In this role, you'll provide key analytical and project support to the different category and business area teams, including supporting high profile sourcing projects, supporting the Cost & Organisation teams who oversee and challenge business on adherence to the policy, financial controls framework, supplier selection and overall compliance and managing third party risk assessments and project tracking. You'll also help to improve internal capabilities, systems and processes and help to identify new opportunities.

Role:

  • The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for providing commercial support to the Procurement Manager; conducting supplier & product research, managing projects & data whilst providing analytical expertise across all indirect spend categories.

  • This is a critical role that will contribute to the success of this start-up function providing a detailed layer of spend & data analysis in order to support the design and implementation of category strategies & sourcing plans in turn managing savings performance data and maintaining an accurate contracts database.

  • Furthermore, the jobholder will use Excel and Power Point to create MI and reporting packs for presentation to key stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices

  • Ability to interpret and evaluate information

  • Good communication skills, ensuring all stakeholders are briefed appropriately

  • Experience of working in financial services or a similar regulatory environment, an understanding of risk, how to mitigate risk and protect the bank's reputation, understanding of cost and the drivers of this in financial services

  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI and Visio

  • Strong stakeholder management and prioritisation skills managing multiple, conflicting interests and deadlines.

  • Ability to analyse data and draw fact based conclusions
