Role: Procurement Analyst - Data & AI

Introduction

A leading global institution that remains lean and agile is seeking a Procurement Data & AI Analyst to help scale a modern, data-driven procurement function in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for an analytically minded professional who enjoys turning complex operational data into insight, automation, and smarter decision-making. The position combines hands on analytics with the opportunity to embed AI and automation into core business processes within a fast-paced, technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve procurement data across systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and strong controls

• Using your coding skills, build and deliver analytics, dashboards, and reporting to provide clear visibility of spend and supplier performance - knowledge of SQL, Python, Advanced Excel etc

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, risks, and optimisation opportunities

• Design and deploy AI driven solutions and automated workflows to improve efficiency and decision making

• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, and Legal stakeholders to align data, policies, and reporting

• Support continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on simplification, automation, and scalable ways of working

• Act as a key point of contact on data, reporting, and system-related procurement topics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, operations, data analytics, finance, or supply chain

• 3 to 7 years of experience in analytics, operations, consulting, or a related role, ideally within a data-rich environment - SQL, Python, Advanced Excel etc desirable

• Strong experience with data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence tools - such as Coupa, Databricks, N8N, Cursor, Tableau, or Power BI is preferred

• Hands-on experience building AI powered agents, automation, or advanced analytics solutions

• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
