I am currently working with an exciting client of mine within the Engineering/Manufacturing and logistics industry looking to add firepower to their Procurement team through a Procurement Analyst who will be taking part in some Buying activities too.
The Business are leaders within their sector/industry and have a well-recognised/respected brand in the market for delivering a first-class service on time.
The individual will have previous Analyst experience and potentially Procurement/Purchasing experience previously, but the Procurement side is not essential. The role will see you maintain master data for suppliers, managing invoice queries, develop clarity on forecasted sales/pipeline, bid processes and new projects and help cross functionally across all teams with duplicate data or solving route cause problems.
Role:
- To undertake activities with MPL & Commercial to develop clarity on forecast sales pipeline & SIOP process; to develop agreed future scope of work and materials requirements.

- To proactively manage/maintain accurate master data for Suppliers/parts covering all Sourcing Rules, Supplier Audit & approval database and key Contract/SLA T&C's.
- To liaise with the appropriate manufacturing engineering teams for the analysis and clean-up/consolidation of duplicate part numbers & part specifications at Crewe & Southport. To consolidate/align Crewe and Southport part numbers.
- Bid process & New Projects/NPI program management - SPOC for formal Bid investigations & input and New Projects/NPI requirements. To facilitate distribution into Procurement and to ensure a full & timely response to the appropriate stakeholder.
- This is a critical role that will contribute to the success of this start-up function providing a detailed layer of spend & data analysis & sourcing plans in turn managing savings performance data and maintaining an accurate contracts database.
- Analyse Suppliers portfolio's risk and spend to make changes appropriate moving forward.
- To manage the update of Procurement KPI's and to undertake initial analysis of the output data / reports; to evaluate performance levels & trends and to initiate root cause analysis for areas of declining performance/missed targets for presentation & distribution to the Procurement team, procurement & operational comm cells.
- You will also be asked to undertake supplier selection & quote/Pricing activities for part & service requirements identified for MRP requisition parts without sourcing rules or a long term contract in place or via manual generated requisitions. To set up the full Sourcing Rules for each requirement to facilitate MPL materials management PO activities.
About you:
