Packaging Sustainability Analyst

Our client is a Major Global Organisation who create sustainable packaging programmes, assisting in the set up of organisations sustainability goals and assist in the meeting of them.

They are now seeking an experienced Packaging Sustainability Analyst whose key responsibilities will be:

Manage the collation, process and application and analysis for communication of sustainability data.

You would use information and business metrics to support the assessment of progress against Global Packaging and Recycling Strategy.

You will work closely with internal functions, suppliers, and the client to manage sustainability-based information and data systems.

Ensure tracking, reporting and managing response to legislation related to the client's sustainability strategy and diverse market coverage.

Perform research, review and analysis for special projects.

Implement data management solutions in alignment with the strategy, and client expectations

Identify, develop and support data systems that add value to customers such as consumer satisfaction, operations improvement, environmental impact, sales growth and profitability

Support the development of sustainability targets and metrics.

Monitor, track and report sustainability related legislation.

Collaborate with the worldwide business areas, related to sustainability activities.

Making recommendations for changes to improve performance to stakeholders.

Assist in monitoring emerging sustainability trends, programs and issues.

Person specification:

Preferred Bachelor's degree educated with a relevant Sustainability background

Experience of working within a sustainable packaging role previously

3 + years of proven business experience in food, consumer goods or packaging industry environment

Sound understanding of current global environmental sustainability legislation, technologies, and trends.

Knowledge of and experience with technical environmental analysis tools and processes

Strong IT skills, in particular within MS Excel

Self-confidence to work in a high-profile environment in conjunction with senior client management.

Very strong in building relationships with different stakeholders

A self-motivated individual combined with forward thinking approach
