Role: Marketing Procurement Manager - Digital, Creative and Advertising

Location: New York City. Hybrid home/office working (2 days per week in the office)

Salary: $105k - $130k + 20% bonus + package

Are you an experienced indirect procurement expert who wants to work on some of the most iconic marketing campaigns for one of the world's leading premium fashion companies?

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

I'm looking for a Marketing Procurement Manager to join this infamous brand on a permanent basis. Their brand is synonymous with quality and luxury, and they are renowned globally, with US flagship stores on Madison Avenue, Rodeo Drive and Michigan Avenue.

This is a new role strategic for their business, where you'll be responsible for the procurement and vendor management of their Marketing procurement spend across North America. It's a diverse and complex category, with a large number of stakeholders across various business units. Subcategories include advertising agencies, events, production, social media, casting and modelling agencies, in-store promotions, photography and videography, marketing technology, print, e-marketing, creative and digital.

Here are some more details on the role:

  • You will own, develop and execute the short, mid and long term marketing category strategy in line with global procurement guidelines across North America.
  • You will focus on developing strong stakeholder relationships in key business areas that have had no previous procurement support, developing a dynamic greenfield strategy that is 100% aligned to stakeholder goals and priorities.
  • You will work in close conjunction with global and regional stakeholders on seasonal, global, regional and brand-specific multi-channel marketing campaigns, working with suppliers to develop and deliver a consistent brand message and image.
  • You will manage the day-to-day procurement, supplier management, spend analysis, tendering and strategic sourcing process.
  • In conjunction with central procurement operations, you will conduct spend analytics activities to segment opportunities for savings, innovation and global/regional strategic sourcing.
  • You will manage key supplier relationships across all marketing subcategories.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A strong background in end-to-end indirect sourcing and supplier management centred around services - with a particular strength and passion in marketing procurement.
  • Ideally, you will have previously worked for a high-end retail, manufacturing or FMCG brand, though this is not essential.
  • Expertise in proactively developing and managing key senior stakeholder relationships within a complex and dispersed environment.
  • A keen interest in, understanding of and penchant to learn how multi-channel marketing works in a global business is essential.
  • An analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail, familiar with conducting spend analysis and reporting activities and then using these to develop strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • A results-driven attitude, focused on proactively solving problems and working in close conjunction with your suppliers and stakeholders to drive forward progress.
  • Ideally you will have some form of professional qualification in procurement/sourcing/supplier management, though this is not essential.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally semi-regularly.
