Logistics/Trade Compliance Specialist - £60,000 + 10% bonus (Aldermaston)

Role: Procurement Logistics compliance role (Hybrid working 2 days in office)

Location: Aldermaston (Near Reading)

I am currently working with an extremely exciting client of mine who have sustainability and renewable clean energy at the forefront of their mind! Projects are constantly being carried out in different parts of the EPC/Commercial team and the wider business with ambitions to continue growing. The role is based in Aldermaston near Reading and offers a hybrid working model with two days on site and three days at home.

As the Logistics/Trade Compliance Specialist you will participate in and may lead the development and execution of PSCM initiatives related to Logistics and Trade Compliance activities.

The ideal candidate will have an Engineering, Energy or Construction/Oil & Gas or Solar PV, or Electrical Batteries industry knowledge but is not essential.

Role:

  • Responsible managing inbound and outbound logistics of Solar and BESS equipment items and being the key point of contact with suppliers, freight forwarders and carriers to arrange and expedite deliveries.
  • Support raising of Purchase Order (PO) requests with freight forwarders and carriers in line with project delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for preparation of shipping documents for domestic and international shipments.
  • Respond to inquiries from HM Customs & Revenue and other third-party government agencies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of trade compliance, tariff interpretation and classification, valuation, clearance, and brokerage, import and export compliance, and preferential trade programs.
  • Monitor customs and international trade operations, ensuring compliance with all trade-related regulations and duties.
  • Work closely with the PSCM team and Project Teams to manage all international transportation activities.
  • Collaborate with all Bid and Project stakeholders to progress project delivery requirements.
  • Ensuring PSCM common processes are followed and participating in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned.

About you:

  • Ideally experienced in project environment in previous Procurement & Supply Chain roles.
  • Experience of working as part of a team of PSCM and Project professionals with the ability to adapt to project dynamics.
  • Previous Energy, Construction, Solar PV, and BESS experience is desirable but not essential.
  • At least +5 years of demonstrable Logistics and Trade Compliance experience.
  • Advanced influencing, communication, and customer facing skills.
