Logistics Procurement Manager

Our client is a Major Global Organisation who are seeking an experienced and driven Logistics Procurement Manager. The business are undergoing transformation and development and as part of this team you will have detailed knowledge of the international imports across Air, Road and Ocean Freight, and you will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering commercial solutions to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

Category management of Ocean, Air and Road Freight on an international basis.

Strong experience of Customs requirements, understanding international imports requirements for ocean and air freight

Build meaningful and close relationships with stakeholders across the business

As a procurement specialist partner with the business you will challenge and advise stakeholders in the delivery of a strong Logistics operation

Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and driving the operational teams to improve and change.

Take a lead role in developing highly value add sourcing and commercial solutions to the organisation

Support and deliver the Procurement strategy across the organisation, understanding best practice and implementing strong processes and procedure

Be highly Instrumental in building and defining the Procurement vision and strategy

Person Specification:

Ideally Graduate or Equivalent

Experience of managing a Logistics Procurement function across Road, Sea and Air Freight

Strong stakeholder engagement ability with a proven background of driving change

Excellent collaborative approach and drive to implement strong processes and procedures

Strong ability to engage with stakeholders and develop key relationships

Experience of Procurement of Logistics/ Supply Chain, 3pl suppliers

Customer focussed background understanding delivery and performance of a high-profile operation

Experience gained within FMCG or Retail organisation is preferred.
