Junior Buyer - Food - FTC 6-9 months potentially longer

My client is seeking a Junior buyer who will be involved in assisting with the Purchasing of Food on a Global basis

This role would suit someone who has previous purchasing experience with direct supplier/category responsibility who possesses a hands-on approach

Candidates will have the ability to operate effectively within a flexible, fast-paced, small business environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide data analysis to support category management and negotiation activities
• Develop and maintain category specific databases and tracking tools
• Provide assistance to the Purchasing manager in terms of negotiation, contract management and supplier management
• Liaise with internal stakeholders with regards to managing contracts

Althoug this is a fixed term contract, there is potential for this to be extended
