Our client, a fast-growth FinTech firm and leader in their field, is seeking a talented Strategic IT Procurement Specialist/Buyer to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about technology and skilled in procurement. The Strategic IT Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in optimizing IT procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and fostering strong relationships with vendors. Excitingly, this position is vital for maintaining the client's competitive tech stack.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute high-value procure-to-pay tasks, including processing purchase requests, vendor enrollment, generating purchase orders, contract uploads, and managing invoices.
- Lead sourcing, negotiations, and contract awards while managing stakeholder expectations to ensure alignment with internal interests.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, maintaining effective communication channels to build a strategic network of partners.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations, including legal and ethical standards, to maximize business value.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by challenging existing processes.
- Manage individual projects aligned with the team's strategy, potentially overseeing small sub-teams for medium-impact projects.
Experience:
- Experience negotiating/contracting/procurement etc with IT Services, software and SaaS
- Not essential, though any knowledge of EU financial compliances and regulations such as DORA, EBA, AFM, ESG etc is advantageous
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to changing situations in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and project ownership skills
- Ability to challenge current practices and drive business progress
- Fluent written and spoken English
