Are you an experienced strategic IT Procurement professional looking for your next challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well known organisation, specialising in IT categories, Hardware, software and Infrastructure.

Responsibilities overview:

As IT Category Manager you will play a key role in creating and executing short, medium and long term procurement strategies to maximise the purchasing power across IT, Data and Digital business functions.

You will have ownership of your own portfolio of suppliers and spend, with plenty of opportunity to shape the strategy and outcomes

Role Overview:

  • Build effective supplier relationships across strategic suppliers within the Technology services categories to mitigate risk and drive value
  • Optimise savings and value delivery through sustaining high levels of innovation.
  • Drive cost and value efficiencies, reducing risk through implementation of contractual rigour
  • Improving sustainability and facilitating the drive to improve the quality and reliability of the supply chain
  • Provide on-going reports to Finance and key budget holders across the group, with strong recommendations of opportunities for adding value, driving efficiencies
  • Conduct category planning approaches to aid budgeting and forecasting process
  • Execute Category Management and delivery of financial benefit through strong presentation and facilitation skills

Experience:

  • Strong experience of Procurement processes and full life cycle sourcing and category management, including opportunity and risk identification within an IT Procurement Environment
  • Experience of partnering business teams with the building and delivery of procurement strategies
  • Demonstrable experience of contract negotiation, influencing suppliers and managing stakeholders of all levels both internal and externally
  • Strong experience of managing supplier relationships and outcomes, through MI, KPI's and SRM
  • Experience of drafting and negotiating contracts
